A colorful outfit calls for a colorful background :)

One of my school outfits stocked in my drafts :) I wore this last March 7. Shots were taken by Keselle Louise—I misssss you Kes!—at UPLB’s Secret Garden (lol jk, I just call it secret garden. This is the one near UPLB FI hehe) I entered it because the gate was open and it seemes so quiet and peaceful and yes, you know what happens when photography and fashion enthusiasts or bloggers see beautiful spots… Hehe

Then came Ate who asked us to sign their logbooks. Nahiya naman ako. LOL. I just went in. But it’s okay, so long as we signed, even if it’s late :)

Blue-green Jeans, Mom’s;

Light pink tanktop, thrifted

Black cardigan, thrifted; black shoes, thrifted

Knitted earrings, ka-ekekan LB; violet belt, thrifted; UPLB baller, UPLB StreetJazz; ID Cord, Paponeis; USB, CD-R King; USB accessory, Pagudpud Resort Ilocos

Pink. Green. Violet. Blue. Colooooors :) And white. And yes, ID cords should be called USB cords. Chos.

Philippine Fashion Week Day 5: What I wore =)

Laaaaate post, I know! Hihi. I went to Philippine Fashion Week Day 5. It was an answered prayer to be there *u* (Thanks again to Miss Tina Herrera!) Before the short fashionphotodiary (which I honestly don’t know when will be uploaded) here’s what I wore :)

Prints, pastel sheer, edgy boots. Sort of a mixture. :) I missed wearing outfits like these when there are no rules to follow. Chos. Teehee. If only everyday (or at least every other day) was PFW. Because now I inevitably have to adjust to school simplicity, you know. And events like this are opportunities to be my “unboxed” dressed self again. Char! Hehe. Onto my outfit :)

Sheer cropped button-down, thrifted.

I love buttoned tops but I like it more when I leave the second button and the rest below it open. Hihi. But in this case, I did it because it didn’t fit me. Had I buttoned everything, they will break. LOL! Okay, I will try my best—magdadiet na ako :p Anyhow, I actually loved how it turned out, though.

printed halter dress, Obey

The dress is sooooo comfortable. (Thanks so much to my Auntie!!!) This is also one of my overused pieces! Haha. When the weather is difficult to bare with, I take this dress off my closet and I’m good to go. :) Plus, a cardi coz this is some sort of revealing. Hehe.

Layered necklace, from my eldest brother’s girlfriend :’)

I love the blending of peach and light blue above :) Pastelssssss. (teka peach nga ba to? hmmmm)

The necklace was Ate April’s gift when I was in elementary, but I have used it for about more or less five times (one of those times is this) so far! Haha, I take care of it soooo much. xD

Colorful cuff, thrifted; orange ring, ka-ekekan LB; ethnic printed cuff, gift; gem cuff, gift; Candy charm bracelet, Candymag!

I also misssssssed wearing layered accessories O.o Sigh, thanks PFW!

my overused Pink-clearbook-slash-attache-case, National Book Store; Binocular Case, my Dad’s

So I’m being vain again in a Comfort Room, or basically, with anything that has reflection. LOL. This is at SMX 2nd Floor.

My two bags are squares of different sizes! Haha. But I love the fact that they are NOT bags anyway, though I use them as such. The attache almost goes with me everyday. It’s one of the things you can call functional and fashionable at the same time.

And the other bag? Haha, yes, that’s my Dad’s BINOCULAR CASE :) The first time I saw it, I felt my heart beating for it. Chos! I know I cannot resist to use it! And after this day, I overused it. Dad often laughs at me “Oh no, nawalan na ng case yung binocular ko.”

Boots, Jessica at SM Department Store; high black socks, Biofresh

super love this cropped shot. Hihi. The binocular case and the shoes/socks seem to blend so well. By the way, yes, these shoes and socks are one of my favorite combos :) Spell overused. Haha. These shoes create a new look when paired with socks.

I think this is one of my favorite outfits. Share lang haha:)

“Fashion can never be explained by a set of rules.”- Camille Co. True. So don’t prevent yourself from going beyond norms and being too trend-conscious.

Hype my look on lookbook here :)

That’s all for now :) Did you also go to PFW? I am crossing my fingers to see you dears this coming October :) God bless, deariessssss! :D

PS. Dear Friends who went to UP Diliman, (if ever some of you might read this) I miss you soooooo much! keep in touch >.<

Pastel color blocking and such.. (Pelikultura Day 2)

Stripes in light pink, cream, lilac, skyblue. Tucked in a turquoise skirt. Added with brown touches in terms of bag and belt. Then a pair of lilac rubber flats. Plus accents of blue accessories..          (btw, sorry, grammar nazis, i know ;)

..Color-blocking made subtle.  Chaaaar :)

sorry for the venue and low lighting quality in the photos btw :O it was a very busy day in school last February 23. These shots were just rushed in between the things I had to do then. And next thing after the picture-picture stuff was voting for UPLB USC CSC Elections. Whew! :)

Anyway, onto my outfit, I wore one of my favorite combos again. skirt and a long-sleeved top. :)

Flats, gift from Aunt; The top? Bought it at a thrift store. Good cheap find! Love the stripes, aside from their lovely candy colors, they’re also vertical :) You know, it’s that it-makes-you-look-a-bit-thinner thingie I’m believing.. haha

flowy skirtBIG BRANDS shop at Robinson’s

( please excuse the haggard face haha! XD )

This skirt is one of my favorites—and also the favorite of my fellow lookbookers hihi Most of the comments I receive when I uploaded this look were about it :) It’s so comfy yet it’s not too short :) just right. And oh, not to mention it’s only 50 pesos!

 pink attache caseNational Book Store

Necklace, my brother’s girlfriend’s gift :)

I looove its crystals and layers :) Anyway, my eldest brother and his girlfriend has just reached their tenth anniversary, and it’s a first-and-last love. :) Not to mention they maintain a pure relationship. Now they’re just saving up for marriage and a sustainable, promising and prosperous family life in the future. Ideal, inspiring relationship, isn’t it?! I know this is a style blog but oh well I find it reaaally worth sharing :) Hihi so now let me move on with the outfit :D

silver thin bangle, from Aunt; BEST FRIENDS friendship baller101 boutique‘customized baller’,from my father :)

Anyway just another little story to share, the friendship baller has its twin, and it belongs to my highschool bestie Anna Theresa Borja! I gave hers when she had her debut last February after I spoke as one of the eighteen candles. It was one of my gifts to her. I love her sooo much =)

brown belt, Novobrown bagCose

trivias: the bag has been with me since Grade six =) ; the belt is only 20 Php! haha

^Taken at DL Umali Auditorium after watching the second set of movies last Pelikul2ra: The CALABARZON Film Festival 2012. It was a really successful event. Personally, it made me appreciate indie films a whole lot more. It made me realize that some or maybe many of them are even better than the mainstream movies we usually get to watch. Congratulations to all the filmmakers! So proud of them :) They’re still students but wow, they work like a pro. :) But before I forget, again that I’m on my style blog and I’m uploading an outfit post not a review (hihi sorry i’m such one big random talker hoho! O.o) I’m gonna end this post :)

say hi to my friends Jessa and Samantha from BS AECO ‘11 =) They were the persons behind the camera for the shots above (arte ko haha okay in short photography by Jessa and Sam! :) Thank you so much ulit! missing you both =’)

Hype my look in lookbook here =) Thaaaaaaaaanks!

God bless and stay stylish, dear (s) !

Lotsa love,

Summer in the woods.. ♥

With this kind of weather, I find it extremely difficult to find outfits that are breezy enough to get some air and will not increase the heat my body feels :| But I’m not that used in wearing sleeveless tops and short shorts in public—not YET haha.. soon I probably will with the sleeveless thing, but with the short shorts, I reeeeeally don’t know—so good thing even loose three-fourth tops and comfy-but-not-too-short skirts combo does the trick ;) Breezy but not too showy :)

Combined florals and ruffles for this outfit =) Wanted to wear some stuff that spell S-U-M-M-E-R . But still stylish-plus-comfortable. I also love how the outfit blended w/ the background(OMG the background I’ve been eyeing since June 2011 haha! :) Floral dominance in what I’m wearing plus all the leeeeeeeaves! Then butterflies on my ears. Okay, nature inspired ;) Haha char!

 top, mom’s ; skirt, H & M

earrings, Aunt’s gift

 bag, gift

 floral sneakers, thrifted

(where exactly? at the thrift store near Robinson’s LB :) Only for 180 pesos! Haha, and I got it for 160 :) I actually bought it before as my emergency shoes coz my violet satin-velvet doll shoes got damaged, really damaged while I was in school :| But the silver lining is, I bought this :D Now I’m loving it so much even though I’m not a rubber shoes lover and I’m also not much a ‘floral person’ =)   #justsaying

etc bracelet, from Candy magazinehair telephone ties’ (LOL how is this exactly called, anyone? spring ties? char) Goody (Joke! How I wish. Di bale I promise to myself I’ll have quality ‘goods’ from Goody soon. I know you hear me, Lord :)

I will post a close-up picture of the etc bracelet prolly in my next posts. Anyway, I’m a trueeeee-blueeeeee candygirl since April 2006 :) Candymag is sooo.. okay I can’t continue this sentence in this outfit post or else I’ll be writing a novel..

If you want to know what I mean, grab a copy of the latest issue and see what I’m actually talking about :) That fulfilling feeling that’s so hard to explain, feel it yourself :) Be a candygirl (or a candyboy! it helps both genders, really, I know coz I have both genders. LOL kidding there..but SRSLY, Candy is a best-est friend not just exclusively for ladies but also for guys) Candy makes so much difference in one’s life.

But anyway moving with this outfit post..    :)

Here was my hairdo for the day! And practically for everyday this summer :)

Hype my look in lookbook here :) hope you’ll fan me too. Teehee =)

Yay for another post ^_^ A

nyway, how’s your summer, lovelies? It’s already May, I hope we’ll maximize the summer days left :) btw feel free to TA me or send anything in my inbox <3 Would love to know you more, dearies :) I believe one day we’ll all meet in person. Seriously :) For now, let our love for fashion, or photography, or BLOGGING, or all of them, bind us in the virtual world. (char sa virtual world ;)

God bless and stay stylish!

A persistent dream :)

I felt my outfit wasn’t as colorful as I used to. Haha but anyway, I love its comfort and style combo :) Laced, stripes and textures were be mixed and matched.

Warning: 1. this is another photo-heavy post :O 2. Word-heavy too ;) You might want to scroll down fast to see the other outfit shots and don’t read this novel-like incoherent release of thoughts :)

Wore this last January 15, 2012 ..Sunday ..A year after January 15, 2011 (malamang haha) ..A year after I received my acceptance letter from my dream university: the Ateneo de Manila University. Read my status updates when I was fourth year high school and you’ll see how set my mind was in studying at the Ateneo! “Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam..Lux in Domino..I love you Ateneo” “I’m a proud Redeemian and an Atenean in the making” statuses and such..

However, January 15, 2012, I found myself taking the ACET again (for the transferees) Yep. To cut the story short, I didn’t end up in ADMU. Why? One word: money. Haha.

But on the other side of the coin, even though I started my first year in college with inner tantrums and sort of bitterness ‘coz I didn’t become a Blue Eagle, eventually I fell in love with UPLB. (yet I never gave up my Atenean dream. When I dream, I really really dream persistently haha) I have been truly thankful to God for bringing me in the beautiful UPLB for my first year in college, I always said that to myself for the past months. “Even if I had the chance last year to study in Ateneo immediately after I graduate, I’d still opt to study in UPLB for academic year 2011-2012. I can’t trade the memories and moreover, the acquaintances, the teachers that marked, and the friends I met in LB who I wouldn’t know if I didn’t study here.” I was really reiterating those lines to myself. But take note of the word first year in college. Read between the lines, and you’ll notice the little but persistent intention I had about spending my next years in college at AdMU. Little ‘coz I know it would be hugely difficult to transfer so I opened myself to the option of finishing my studies in UP. (but let everything be done according to God’s will) Indeed, I don’t know why I really never dropped my dream back in highschool. My persuasive speech for spcm 1 was about Ateneo, how’s that? I’m in love. You can’t blame me. Char.

(Note: I just want to clear that I have nothing against with UP as a whole. I truly admire this premier university of the Philippines. Who wouldn’t? Also, my Dad’s from UP Diliman so I can’t hate UP as a whole and I won’t ever do that. And again, I already said that UPLB has a special place in my heart because of the memories, and the people that made an impact. I just really dream of Ateneo and I can’t answer why here coz I will write a novel. Personal preferences, respect that. :)

Open to the option of not being able to transfer, this is what I told myself: I don’t know when, it might be next year, or it might be after the next three years, but all I know is, one day, I’ll be with you. AdMU.

One day I will wake up and finally be able to call myself a true-blue eagle.

But fast forward, to cut the story short, Mom said I just ‘wasted’ my bucks in taking another ACET ‘coz I just took it but the deadline of submission of requirements passed without me passing any of the following: TCG, Good moral, recommendations, essay and all other files needed. My lack of time management added to the busiest-days-ever last February to March left me unable to do all the rigorous tasks in completing the application. Okay laugh at me now. Haha. I was disappointed ‘coz I thought I can know the result, just at least the result of the exam, even if I didn’t complete my application. But no. How can I be so excited this May with regards to the ACET if there is no result to look forward to because of my unwanted negligence!! Ugh. Okay. So the latter will take part in my dream “…or after the next three years” Okay, I just might take further studies in AdMU. But I also want to study Fashion Design at SoFA or FIP?  I really don’t know. But whatever God’s will is, I will follow. (Please, Lord, make me follow :) Anyway, seeing the pictures below and all the pics shot by Dad really make me not regret the money we spent in taking the exam which I later ‘unwantedly’ took for granted. Seriously :)

bag, Mom’s

striped top w/ lace, gift; sunnies, thrifted

dangling earrings, vente

shoes, Penshoppe

overused pencil cut skirt, SM Department Store

below are some pictures in remembrance of the exam :’)

^this was our sitting arrangement. Hmm, I found the ACET for transferees not as hard as the ACET for freshmen (which I found a little harder than the UPCAT 2011. I don’t want issues, opinion lang ha) If you took ACET 2011 for freshmen and ACET 2012 for transferees as well, do you agree? ^_^

btw here’s is my test permit. Aww. Bachelor in Fine Arts in Information Design!! OMG O.o (anyway last year the course I took was AB Communication :)  maybe i’m not really for Ateneo, (if you read the last paragraph of what I wrote in the first part of this post, you know why ) well.. not for NOW :] I’m enjoying my stay in UPLB and loving every bit of it, but I am not giving up on my Atenean dream ;)  One day, I’ll come back for you, Ey Di Em Yu :)

So that was another post. Whew. Sorry for too much words. I know I’m not in my personal blog O.o but I don’t know why I can’t keep my fingers from typing. Especially May’s already coming. Okay.. anyway, in case you read every single word above thank you so much for bearing all my release of thoughts haha.

God bless and stay stylish!

Lotsa love,

Graceeeeeee

^PS hype my look in lookbook here.

F-3R FTW :) [outfit post + photo diary]

(post drafted last February :)

Hi deariesss! How’s your February so far? :D Thanks to all who replied to my I miss you post and for you who sent some love on my inbox! You really make me smile even during my most stressful days. I love you always:)

BTW above’s a pic (taken at IRRI by dear Louise) of what I wore for the Speech Choir Elimination last January 30—a very memorable day spent with my beLOVED SpeechCom 1 classmates!! :) I decided to upload pictures of this event after this outfit post even though this is a style blog and I’m not on my personal blog :D

(seriously, for the nth time, I think these two blogging categories can’t be separated anymore.. I bet most of you will agree (tama ba?) hihi because most of my net-friends are personal style bloggers. I was just a bit crazy trying to separate the categories into different blogs. Just saying hehe)

Anyway, let me start my outfit post. Ang tagal na ring stagnant nitong fash’blog na to ee hehe. Sorry for the blurry pics, my camera’s not so hi-tech^_^

We’re supposed to wear black over all that’s why the outfit :)       turtleneck top, Ukay (10 pesos only!); leggings, Riss Boutique; socks, I seriously forgot where; flats, thrift store     *pic taken at MainLib by dear Jen :)

             earrings, Harisson Plaza

necklace, US (thanks so much Tita!!)

native bag, Aklan(thanks to my sibling Kuya Kester!)

thin belt, thrift store; dij, a.k.a. my best-material-friend (haha), Olympus

It’s been a week :)

It’s been a week since my speechcom 1 classmates and I bonded after we delivered the speech choir elimination :D And I still can’t get over :)

With Speech Com 1:  F 3R and our recit prof Ma’am Grace Mendoza! i love you, classmates! We love you, Ma’am Mendoza! =D

^we met at the Main Lib first for preparation which turned out to be a pre-bonding session hehe! (astig ng pose ni class president dito hihi (the first girl from the right ..hi there dear Karla! =)

^a pic of our dear Chemical Engineers :D

^thanks dear Jen for taking most of the pixies here at Lib! love! :* (she’s my seatmate both in Large class and Recit class :)

we had some spontaneous flexible-themed photoshoots for fun haha! Above is Karla, bending :) See my head? hehe we were supposed to make an M by bending side by side but the camera frame can’t capture the whole view hoho *fail. btw, above, I’m still lying on the floor there because I can’t bend without lying down first haha!        ^so here’s the “other half” of the M of me and Karla! Haha I love this pic, kahit na fail yung bending shape ko, I just so love how we smiled to each other upside down

^above’s the very pretty Girlie :D naks! with feelings :)

^make-up session with Kim and Louise inside Main Lib’s comfort room hehe! fierce mode kami ee!

^now above’s another pic of our lovely class after the elimination :) But this time, not only with our Recit Class Prof Ma’am Grace Mendoza,..we also have Sir Carson Cruz, our Recit Prof on the first day of our SPCM 1 class, with us :) [pic taken at CAS Annex 2]

^After all the ‘work’ and ‘pressure’, of course we had fun! This is a pic of us, excited to go to IRRI! yey! And the one who took this was the jeep’s driver, ang kpal ng mukha ko ee hehe but he was friendly to us naman haha:)

^On the way to IRRI! Yay! We were supposed to eat at the Harrar Hall where everything’s so affordable yet have good quality, but it was break time when we went there. So we decided to eat at the cafeteria near it :)

^Kuya Zar, Kim, and Emman with their yummy Mudslides :)

^Karla, Jessica, and Kyla waiting for their order :) [Girlie’s ordering I guess that’s why she isn’t here..hmm..tama ba gurl? hehe]

^Jeff and Harvey while waiting for their order…*wow ha, seryoso sa harap ng laptop? as if acads yung ginagawa hehe char ;)

^I and Louise eating our Green Pesto! hehe thanks again dearie! (check out my food blog to see food pixies)

^after eating, pixie shots don’t end of course hehe:) This one’s taken outside the cafeteria by Harvey (yung iba umalis na coz they had classes kaya wala na sila dito sa pic…..just saying :)

^me: childish smile :p .. Louise: gorgeous wacky.. Kuya Zar: poker face.. Kim: cute!.. Emman: sweet na smile.. Jessica: Fierce.. and our fave here, Karla: overjoyed! hehe

^ F 3R rides IRRI’s shuttle bus :) always free ang ride dyan! winner :D awwww pauwi na kami nito. Next plan? We’ll be going to Enchanted Kingdom after finals! Hihi nakakamiss na kagad. Anyway, we didn’t make it to the finals [top 8 out of 35 (or 36 yata) sections] but our score was 79; and the score of the Top 8 was 81 so I’m thinking we’re Top 9 yey! Or at the very least, top 10 :D

Whatever the results are, what matters most to us is that we had fun together ..and that even though there were hassles, stress, and all the cramming stuff, we became closer because of this Speech Choir thingy :D

* “If I were a voice” by Charles McKay :) —the piece we performed.

…..So here’s another post then :D thanks for reading!

God bless you dear (s) !

*I love you F-3R!

Preppy Patterned..

(this post is drafted-and-supposedly-published last January 10:)

For this year’s 9th day, I decided to wear something not so informal since I was about to fix some things at the Dasmarinas Municipality :) Scholarship thingy, that is…teehee ^_^ Oh em, so happy to see Cavite again!!

Above is a picture at the rooftop. Hoho..”photography by timer” I was kind of bored while waiting for my turn so I decided to have a photo op by myself haha. I can’t miss this view, after all :) And this pic is my favorite of my shots up there then. I spent about three to four hours in picnik.com putting different effects on this over and over again! :D I plan to upload them in my photo blog. One of the finished products? My current header :)

Candid shot, haha :) I wasn’t ready yet here. BTW, now this one’s not via timer, my Dad captured it! :D as well as the other pics (I haven’t uploaded all here, though.) Yeah, being a daughter of a prof. photographer really has perks! hihi

Pink attache case (one of my most repeated pieces now in my outfit posts hoho) National Book Store

          Polo, my Mom’s; Sunnies, gift

I love how it slims down its wearer ;) notice that it’s not composed of vertical stripes, though; it’s a geometric pattern in a subtle form and so I fell in love with it more ..teehee ^_^

Pants, still my Mom’s! hoho :) Socks, thrifted; Brogues, Parisian

         earrings, Tokyo

^a wala lan, haha just a VAIN pic ;D [digi, Olympus(I love you!)]

This vain pic is just one of those pixies that made me face the computer for more than two hours editing it. As usual, I plan to upload all the “finished products” in my photo blog. :) Free time, please, come now.

BTW, before I end this post..

here’s a glimpse of the Dasmarinas Municipality :) Hehe pa-candid effect pa ako dito :p

How’s the first ten days of your 2012 dear (s) ? Hope their were fun as well! :)

Let’s start this year with optimism, knowing God has so many things in store for us :D

God bless and stay stylish! :*

Lotsa love,

Graceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

(PS. the last pic was supposedly my new header, but the size didn’t fit. I don’t want to waste it:/ It couldn’t be a blog header, so I decided to use it as the typical blog’s “post ender,” teehee  :)

One color; two textures..

Worn someday last October twen’yeleven :) So yeah, that was one of my last days as a sixteen-year-old kid ;) And yep, please lemme use the word KID. I’ll be turning 18 na naman this year ee hoho so I’ll make the most of the opportunity to call myself somehow a KID :) Time is just so fast. But wait, why do I speak with some drama? Haha. I am not in my personal blog, I almost forgot LOL. This is an outfit post so yep, moving on with the outfit :)

Nope. I am not wearing a dress here. It’s just the skirt and top combo. I just love how skirts and tops create the illusion of dresses sometimes. (Or how some dresses also appear like skirt or top in some outfits) teehee =D

Top, from my eldest brother’s girlfriend, Ate April; Pencil Cut Skirt, SM; Bag, gift from my brother Kuya Kester (bought at Aklan); Silver Thin Belt, Genevieve Gozum; Watch, thrifted

Though my outfit was centered on one color, black, I loved how the textures put a spice of variety on it.

         Shoes, Russ at Rusty Lopez

And yes, it’s these shoes again! Haha. Told ya. This is a style blog full of repeated pieces in each outfit. I am not financially rich—YET (haha)—but I just maximize what I have and enjoy mixing and matching them as I pray for more:) Guess it’s only the thin belt which is newly posted here. Check out my other outfit posts, and you’ll see I’ve worn all the pieces here hehe

BTW, hype my looks at my lookbook! Hihi just click here.

Thank you so much!!! Sigh, I can smell the busier busier days ahead! I pray you all have a wonderful week, dear (s) !  =D

God bless and stay stylish! Lotsa love,

Graceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

All Glammed Up With My Bestest Friend! (finally, after two years, we saw each other again :’)

Hi dear (s)! Above is a picture with my childhood BFF :’) Beverly! We were besties since June 18, 2004 when we were in our fourth grade. Now we’re already college students:/ BTW July 16 was the date then here; it was the celebration of her beloved sister’s debut! ^_^ (okay i should be blogging this in my personal blog but since it’s not yet official, i’ll blog about this here in my style blog :D sigh i’m really thinking that these two types of bloggin’ can’t be separated..agree?)

BTW some more BFF pictures by the end of this post..syempre save the best for last! :) For now, here’s an outfit post (what I wore to the event:)

Pencil Cut Skirt, SM Girls’ Teens Wear; Black Tights, SM Department Store; Flats, thrifted

I wore something semi-formal in my most favorite color combo when it comes to clothing: BLACK AND PINK! And added a little touch of gold with the belt and earrings :D

              Pink sheer top, thrifted

Black with Gold Cuff, Accessories from Ilocos; ‘Twirled’ Cuff, thrifted

^above shows the ’ back ’ view of the cuffs! hehe..i love this cropped pic btw:)

        gold hoop earrings, Tokyo

           gold animal-textured thick belt, Novo

This is a great bargain. If you’re a Filipino, you most probably know that Novo is not a brand of belts or not even a boutique! Haha. To non-filipino readers, this is mainly a store which sells trinkets, school supplies, things for the house, then some fashion pieces, all for affordable prices! This belt, I first saw it at 60 pesos. But I got on sale, so I bought it for…guess what? Twenty Philippine Pesos! Sigh.

bag, from my uber fashionista aunt, Tita Grace;  white glasses, thrifted

..So there, my outfit ^_^ teehee.. Now, as promised, here are few more pictures with my bestestfriend Beverly!

sorry for the low resolution :/ ‘twas in front of the mirror then..

BTW i just feel the ‘need’ to post a pic of us way back then. I really am feeling nostalgic now! (We were grade six here, a wacky shot during our Toga Picture taken by Dad (yes, my Dad’s a prof. photographer  :)

these cupcakes(from the base of the gorgeous cake:) are beyond yummy! do i have to tell you which is mine and which is Bev’s? haha! naman! i think it’s obvious: look at the skin tone difference XD

^and here’s another gif! haha i guess i’m really that weird newbie style blogger who puts GIFs in almost all her posts :/ but anyway, just let me be :’))

BTW of course, I can’t end this post without a picture of the star of the night, the debutante, Bev’s sister and also a good friend of mine, the so-beautiful-and-smart-and-kind ate Monica!!!! In case you’re wondering what my gift was to her, (coz that’s one of the most asked questions to me when my friends hear me attending debuts, events, etc..) she’s holding it above: the pink signature frame :D

^here is a picture with her :D Isn’t she soooooo lovely and gorgeous!?                            Now here’s a picture of the two lovely sisters in their glamorous pink gowns! =) BTW notice the gorgeous cake behind them! <3 I really miss this day :’D After October 23, 2009, I saw them again :’)

Friendship doesn’t really need frequent meet-ups. What matters is you stay true to each other, no matter what.

BTW friends, before I start crying, here’s another post then! :)) hehe I hope everyone is having a great time now in Holidays. Yay! Sulitin na natin, schooldays are almost there again o_o ohh I’m afraid I won’t be able to blog much and check my lookbook come next year :((((( It will be very busssssssssssssy (Hello, college projectssss!) ^This was taken at one of my favorite coffeeshops in LB: Boston :D By the way, just to share with you, here’s how it looked like..:)

Now you know one of the reasons why I love it there: cozy ambiance (..and I really felt the Christmas Spirit there that time=) BTW, back to the outfit hihi ;)

This was how it looked at night=) ..shot aken near PhySci Building :) Sorry very blurry:/ [thanks to my friend Karl for this pic!:]

Anyway, the Christmas shots :D Taken by my brother, kuya Ariel ^_^

If you’ll visit UPLB, this is the first thing that will greet you: Belen:)

Also, their gigantic—hmm, about 12 feet or more!—Christmas tree is set to grab your attention on the left side! :D

On the right side of the UPLB “Gate,” here is what you’ll see! :D Isn’t it a beautiful design!? I just so admire the people who made this. BTW I dunno the people here..haha I just took a picture of this view coz of the cute ‘composition’ but it still didn’t capture the beauty so here’s a better picture taken by my brother..

This was how it looked from the other side. I sooo love this pic! Isn’t my brother so talented in taking pictures? :D He’s really good in spotting angles.

Of course, I gotta have a picture on it for remembrance hihi. ;) Anyway, here’s a gif with my brother.

Simply Preppy..

White Shorts, thrifted; Socks, DIY; Ribbon, DIY; Shoes, Russ at Rusty Lopez

Girly and Preppy, I guess, would be the two words that’d describe this outfit:)

I don’t care how weird this looks to some eyes, but for me, I love it. I loooooooooooove it.. What I love in this outfit is that I find it stylish even though but it’s not expensive at all :) Most pieces are just ‘recycled.’ Hihi.. Being resourceful in fashion just adds up to the fun and stretches one’s wardrobe in so many ways.

I wore a white long sleeved top with white shorts..hoping to create an illusion of a romper hihi :) I want to have one but I don’t have one yet :/ Haha..anyway, I think long sleeves plus shorts really strike a good balance. I put the pink bow to add a touch of girliness ;) And, I wore ‘high socks’—shocks, one of my fashion favorites hihi—for preppy style and for the fact that I still can’t wear shorts without tights or high socks, just anything to cover my legs :/ (except when I wear jersey shorts or for costume purposes)

First off, the long-sleeved top..It’s actually my highschool uniform! :) And yes, I still try my best to find ways to wear it many times now. Hihi ^_^   (Hmm..I might blog some time about the different ways I wore this;) It’s fun to experiment. For this outfit, I accessorized it with a pink bow and wore my pink flower watch with it. The shorts? don’t be shocked if I’ll tell you that I had this since Grade 4. Honestly. Haha!! But now, I use them as high waisted shorts because the size of course doesn’t fit my hips anymore. :)

Let me just share something I learned from my uber dedicated stylish fashionista aunt..she told me before, “Nasa pag-aalaga yan….”

I learned from her that it’s not compulsory that you have to buy often to increase your wardrobe; if you can’t buy that frequent (like due to financial lack)remember that what matters is how you take care of your clothes and stuff that enlarges your wardrobe in the long run..

The Satin Pink Ribbon:) I love this..it’s not just a ribbon. Sometimes it’s a headband, a hair bow, a necklace or sometimes even a belt..hihi

Anyway..guess where I got this? It’s actually one of a sewer’s trash..it’s from a gown—yep, that ribbon which ties the bow at the back to form the X. Hihi.. But this one’s got torn ends..so it’s one of her rejects. Thankfully, when I asked her a portion of her rejects, including this, she gave ‘em to me! Haha :D I was like a little kid that received a lolilop that time! I just so love bows and ribbons—whether it be in my outfits, hair, or even notebooks ;) I think it started when I was in junior high school coz I was a dedicated B-MOCC then and we had a compliance ribbon to put on our hair every day. Anyway, before I get swayed too much by another topic..let me move on haha.. as for the shades, see what I said ‘bout it

The ‘high socks’ ..hihi..well it wasn’t really a pair of high socks. I just so want to have one immediately so I bought black tights from a thrift store and..cut it out! Haha..though it’s still kind of a failure because I can’t maintain it to be above-the-knee..it always moves down. Yep..so I can’t force the fabric to be “sock-suited” coz it was supposed to be tights. Tsk. Hihi..

The shoes..they’re my school shoes since Third Year Highschool! Haha. As I’ll post more of my previous outfits in the future—those I have put in my lookbook—expect that you’ll see this so often.. But I love ‘em. Plastic gladiators..hihi..comfortable and also perfect for rain  :)

^I saw this cute mirror at the lobby and I can’t help but take pictures then! Haha.. I wore this last October 5..the last Wednesday of my first ever semester in college. These pictures were taken at the College of Arts and Sciences Annex 2. And credits to my blocmate Jae Montanez for taking the first picture in this post..

Anyway, why so white? :) It was ourrecitation section’s color for the Finals: English Inter-Recit. Quiz Contest then. And we won first place! Yay, thanks to the three representatives Chai, Max and Edmond.            ^here’s a picture with some of my Eng1 classmates and pals—Chai, Max, Edmond, Jae, Sky and Cheska. I miss A-3R :)) This was our last meeting at the CAS A2 Multipurpose Hall 2. [Aww I’d love to say more ‘bout today but again, I’ll just blog about it by the time I have a personal blog. Haixt kailan kaya???]

^above’s a gif with also one of my Eng1 classmates and friends, Vincent:) Hihi.. i know i know, this is a fashion blog(san ka nakakita ng fashion outfit post na may gif diba? hoho bear with my spontaneous randomness;) but i just really find this gif cute—random expressions, fast shifting..plus it looks like there’s an earthquake here haha—so I can’t help but put it here too:) I first posted this in my randomandredundant blog..:) then I realized that what I wore then was the outfit I’m blogging now..haha..so why not add it as well here in my style blog?..haha..

..

Anyway, back to fashion;) Recycling really is not just for literal trash ;) It’s for clothes as well. Hihi..Check your closet..probably there are lots of stuff sleeping there for a long time. Have fun by creating anything out of them, and why not give some of them as well? ^_^

That’s all for now..(sigh ..the second outfit post:))

hype it on my lookbook :) Hihi Thanks!!!!!!!

God bless and stay stylish, everyone!

Lotsa Love,

Graceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ♥

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

^Wala lang hoho..pahabol lang :) This is a self-timed picture at UP’s Mariang Banga. Emo-ish but fail :/ haha..anyway, I love the lighting here..it was just after sunset. And look at DL Auditorium behind me..it’s like a house here.. teehee^-^

Formally casual or casually formal? I really don’t know ^_^

This will be like a ‘nostalgic’ fashion blog at the start..hoho..for I’m about to fulfill the promises I made in lookbook then: the blog entries behind the looks! Yay! Hihi..and that means I’m about to upload more of my previous looks than those I’ve been wearing recently ;) Gotta open the files and pictures now which have sleeping and waiting for them to be finally, blogged :)

Here’s the first look I decided to blog for a reason I can’t figure out why..XD      Formal meets casual :) Hmm…I guess that would summarize what I’m wearing here. Hihi..                          It also had mixtures again like I often did—even unintentional—in my other looks. Tsk. Haha. I’m just thankful the mixtures here didn’t embarrass me then *sigh*  o.O ……SEQUINS plus ANIMAL PRINTS plus ooh, a touch of some FEATHERS..hihi

But that’s what I love more about fashion, it only becomes really fun when you experiment ! Hoho XD           I love black and white and the touch of gold in this look. (sorry for the blurry picture!>.<) I wore this to the Folk Arts Theater (Day by Day Service) and to a bonding with Mom and family friends at IMOSTI..

These pictures were taken at the beautiful garden near the Cultural Center of the Philippines by my Mom and Tito Ronald Agraviador, her fellow Bible study member. And this is one of my favorite shots! :D

(Note:the first two pixies were taken at Las Pinas)

I love how versatile the PENCIL CUT SKIRT(‘twas P900 but I got with 50% discount coz it was ale haha!) is….hoho..I was overwhelmed when I realized that what I wore looked like a dress in an instant because of how the top and this skirt complemented each other. Trivia, I had the top since I was Grade 6! No kidding! I thought it was not cheap for 450 but then after five years, I proved that the price was worth the quality.                                                                                                                 Top, Mint.. Skirt, Xara at SM Calamba.. Belt, Novo

And since, my BLACKTOP was SPARKLING, I put on a gold belt on my waist. Trivia again, would you believe I only bought these for 20 pesos! Haha! Novo had a great sale then..:)                                                                                                               Gold flats, Celine                               Flat sandals, Celine

The GOLD BELT is then complemented by the gold flats. It was actually Mom’s but she doesn’t use it anymore:) It’s another bargain ‘coz it was originally a thousand bucks but since it was sale, we got it half the price ^_^
Yes, FLATS. And not heels to still put a sense of simplicity (hihi^_^)..and and a sense of being casual. Hoho ;)                                                                                                                       Blazer, Preppy (100 only!)

As for the WHITE BLAZER (from Preppy for only 100 pesos!), it made the outfit tone down a bit as well. And since this should also be a Day Outfit.

[If it’s for a night, one would rather wear a velvet metallic cardi..]

To complement this white color, I used my ZEBRA PRINT BAG with bow. I love its  sweet details. It’s also a nice bargain from a thrift store..it’s 100 pesos only=)

            Feather earrings, 101 Boutique

And oh, the FEATHER EARRINGS!? [It’s my first time to wear this pair.]
I love such pieces. So much. Can’t wait to buy mooooooooooooooore =)
hihi! And the round black sunnies, I’m so thankful I found something like them! Thanks for the gift Mom haha =D

Anyway, some pictures with some of the people who made this day memorable!:)

with one of my super best friends, my Mother! =)

with one of the people I consider as my spiritual mentors, Tita Maricel Ferias! And ofcourse her daughter that I love soo much, Elay!!!!!!! =)
Oh..I remember =’) It was really filled with happy moments! I will blog about this by the time I’ll have a personal blog :)

Anyway, before I get nostalgic and sentimental ^_^, I can’t believe I’ll just post my first fashion entry! Hihi..

God bless and stay stylish, everyone!

Lotsa love, Graceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ♥

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
