Of colors and shimmers, bow…………………xD (worn last April 15, 2011. A day of malling with RIPSG friends :)

(and so on…more of my innate weirdness in my old lookbook looks)

..Tights and I were inseparable.

..Ribbons—not just bows, but ribbons used for tying gifts—were the bestfriend of my hair (and my notebooks and my collars and almost anything I own)

..I wasn’t used to wearing shorts then, except with colorful/black stockings or high socks.

..Circle glasses, starshaped sunnies (and heartshaped but I haven’t found any yet) were my favorites. And I don’t freaking care if they have no grade.

..Quirky, preppy, neon, and weird things fascinate me. I believed some trends and rules are limiting fashion experiments. And I didn’t need to fit in.

..Layering outfits everyday was a lifestyle.

..I was colorblocking before I even heard the term colorblocking (when I was younger I used to call it “color-coding” (pink kung pink, etc) OR “uber-coloring”)

..etcetera.

^Yes, that’s Grace Eclavea before adjusting to, let’s just call it the ‘unofficial, indirectly spoken, implicit school simplicity rule.’ C: (when i said school it’s not limited to the place where I’m studying, it’s general)

Anyway actually, more or less a hundred sentences are supposed to follow that, but my fingers can’t find the letters to type what’s in my head. In short I can’t find the word translation for my thoughts. Or, it’s like I can’t find the “signifier” for my “signified”#COMA101lectures

Ah whatever. Sigh. I’ll end this post here and just leave my thoughts flying..

God bless and stay stylish, dearies! Jesus loves you infinitely. And nothing— not any style, or weirdness or even as far as RH Bill stance :l —can change His love for you. :)thursday

Beef made my day :’)

it’s not a surprise that the girl above gives smiles to a lot of people just by sharing her looks, or spreading good vibes just by blogging her posts. But it doesn’t end there. Aside from being a really creative and productive teen, how she interacts with her readers make her more inspiring.

Recently, I felt really down again with regards to my fashion dreams..then I checked my blog (this blog, coz you know, i have seven in different sites. Hihi :)) There was no notification (seriously, why tumblr!?) but I clicked the “messages” anyway. And whoa, I saw this.

I was lifted up when I read it. Weeeee *-* Who wouldn’t be inspired to receive this in your inbox—from one of the people you admire? And plus, especially at a time when you’re feeling down? Sobrang uplifting.

People like ate Gela are the ones who will bring you up, the ones whose words will linger in your ears whenever destructive criticism (yes, because constructive is needed, right? :) strike you.

I’ve heard so many criticisms. (Guess we’ve all had) I’ve had so many discouragements to stop loving fashion, or that I have a weird, ugly, freaking, abnormal style that’s why I should stop this passion for style and etcetera. But guess what? The fashion industry should be thankful for people like ate Gela Munoz who succeeds and shares her talents; yet also sees and appreciates passion—even in newbies. That inspiration she, and people like her, spreads is promising. :)

When I reach my dreams, Gela Munoz will be one of the names I will never forget to thank.

Her words, even only through tumblr, (because we haven’t met in person yet) will always be a part of my internal positive recorder which I will play whenever criticism mind tapes are playing again.

(Yes, positive words can bring that much impact, dearies. Especially when one is in a down moment. Teka, ang emo ko. LOL. That’s why encourage as much as you can. You don’t know how you liven a dream which is in danger of dying even through few words :)

So, in case you haven’t met her yet in the blogosphere, meet the beef behind elbeef.tumblr.com!

A band vocalist, an Atenean, a model, a blogger/lookbooker, a stylist (and these are just few of what I know about her) But despite her talents, she remains so down-to-earth and so virtually approachable! Yes, virtually approachable! Haha :) Check her blog, and you’ll see how she answers questions :) She’s also very willing to answer styling inquiries. It’s like she knows you in person.

I have so many liked blogs, but something that’s rare is that kind of virtual “approachability” (if there’s such a word haha) which she has. :D

And candygirls! Look what we have above, she’s featured in candymag last June! :)

Congrats ate Gelaaaaaa :) Thank you for the encouraging words! And I pray we’ll meet na before 2012 ends. Haha! Gotta hear your voice and take pictures with you and hopefully, shop with you too! God bless, and stay inspiring, promising, yet humble. I am one of the people you inspire ^_^ Love you miss Gelabeef!

When a blogger inspires you through her looks and outfits, that’s good and refreshing, and is actually needed for fashion enthusiasts. It’s like food to us, it feeds our passion. But when a blogger inspires not only through those looks but also through their words, that can be changing and moving. That’s like a medicine that can cure a fashion sickness, or a dreamer’s sickness called I-can’t-do-this. All of us have symptoms of that sickness, it’s up to us if we’ll let it eat us. And since all of us have that, it’s better if we pull each other up. Like if only the lookbook community can be a tangible reality, it would be great. Every style is appreciated. Really. You can be yourself. The looks I had which were criticized in real life found their niche in lookbook. We would rather encourage (even while giving constructive criticisms) and help each other conquer the I-can’t-do-this sickness.

Before I end this, I just remembered a quotation saying that true success is not only what you’ve become, but what people have become because of you. :) How true. And this, I think, is one of ate Gela’s best traits. How she encourages the dreamer within her readers. I’m so happy to be one. Thanks ate Gela.

Passion refueled. Dreams inspired. That’s how Beef made my day.

XO, Graceeeeee <3

Campus StyleFiles #4

Fourth batch of UPCampusStyleFiles!

(Sorry I wasn’t able to fulfill the promise i said in the previous batch. :o )

Comfy outfit for a day of travelling? Basic top-and-jeans-and-rubbershoes combo can be more creative with a burgundy cardi, scarf, and stylish oversized bag. :) (this was at Yuchengco Museum at our HUm2 fieldtrip :)

Don’t you just love the color combination here? I do :) Sure, superman shirts are all around the corner. But to me this is the best outfit—plus really campus-friendly!—with the classic navy blue superman shirt that I saw. :D The shorts and shoes match with the contrast of the shirt so well.

A comfortable but really cute get-up! I love the prints and yes, the colorsssss. :D Shorts-and-top-and-slippers-and-a-stylish-bag, I noticed, is the staple UP student outfit. It’s comfy and stylish in many ways, too. :D (Prei, miss you!! :( )

Feathers and pastels! Simple pieces with creative little details make the whole outfit more interesting. I love how the feather earrings matched the feather in her beautiful blouse! (rush-shot at MainLib Basement.)

Green + forest green + deep red + denim in one outfit. Thumbs up! (UPLB is filled with many kind and friendly people, but Jeje is one of the kindest people you will ever, ever, ever meet!! this one’s shot at Vega 5th floor after our VictoryGroup. She’s my vgmate last sem, but now she leads her own vgroup!)

Top layered with a sweater, paired with loose shorts: Androgynous and boyish style! :) One of the most comfortable school get-ups :)

Another outfit shot at the Yuchengco Museum. Jackets are really must-haves during fieldtrip! In this outfit, the three bold stripes simply yet creatively broke the monochrome. Monochromes are good in itself, or when done to achieve what Candymag calls as “outfit focal point.” :)

That’s all for now :) Which was your favorite school outfit?

God bless dearies!

PS. Seeing these shots I took six months ago makes me thankful that I already took pictures of the stylish people (who eventually shifted to Diliman) before they left Los Banos. :’) *and nostalgia of memories rings a bell again*

PS2. These were taken last January. So many shots in my documents are yet to be posted. I love this hobby :’) I hope the people I’m taking pictures of will have their own lookbook accounts, too.

(Source: fashournalist)

Below this picture is the first outfit post I ever blogged about :) Got it from my old fashion blog, which now is a “little, just a little, photoblog.” It was last year—yet as usual, nostalgic me feels the everything-feels-so-recent thing.

Freshie pa ako nito :”)) I seriously want to be an NF (or highschool!! :P) again. Haha! Those days, and I think, every college student’s NF days will always be part of the most epic times in the university. (Oh no, two extremes here, every and always O.o well, yes, it’s still case to case basis..haha)

littlemisspinkeagle:

June 28, 2011…my second official Tuesday at U.P.=)

June 28, 2011…I “fell in love” again.

I fell in love with another outfit…

THIS OUTFIT! ^_^

Near U.P.’s Freedom Park….shot by TJ Cariaga

at my friend’s house..(I decided to keep her name private for her privacy)

In…In wearing this, I learned two important things.

1. Fashion is indeed ‘magical’.

It transforms even an old clothing into a ‘new’ piece by giving it a new twist.

The deep red buttoned blouse is from our family friend’s grandmother. And it is actually a gift to my Mom. But turns out, it looked better in me. Haha! Mom gave it to me because it fitted me better than it fitted her.

To add style, I wore a silver thin belt around it and matched a flowy pearl necklace with it.

I also love how these socks which has been in the closet for a long time ‘came back to life.’ I wore these to still give a school vibe.

2. Unexpected outfit mismatches are sometimes ‘meant to be.’

Sometimes what you plan to wear does not happen to pave the way for a better outfit =)

I said this because…

I was disappointed when I saw my black knee socks were still wet; and I was frustrated when I realized I haven’t washed my shorts yet. Those were what I really intended to pair with my deep red blouse.

But then after a few fashion panics, I arrived with this outfit. =D

…And I loved it! I realized it looked even more stylish than what I first planned.

Now, with these two things I learned—yes, coz I believe fashion is not just all about clothing, this and that; it also teaches us in various ways^_^ — everyday looks more exciting because fashion keeps on evolving.

So that’s it for now! =)

God bless!

Lotsa Love,

Graceeeeeeeeeeee

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

P.S. This is my eight look at lookbook=) And I guess the look na pinakamatagal kong inedit! Sigh. 3 hours? hirap kasi mamili ng ilalagay, at pagresize resize para magfit sa isang picture, at mind you, I had five pic collages I choosed from baago ako nakapili. I’ll upload them next time ^_^

PS2. All pictures are shot by my one of my super bestfriends, my Mom =)

Of Procrastination and Printscreens: Moodboard after reading updates..LATE :’) [list of 10 that gave me the most random emotions]

Moments when you receive ‘surprise’ replies or unexpected messages and read them late, give you a lot of smiles the time you read them (or frowns, you know ;) yet bring you back to the time it was sent to you, and give you more hints of regret that you should’ve opened your accounts earlier, even at least once a week. So after some time of being inactive again in my fashion online spaces, here’s a random moodboard. Weird list. That’s what compensating for procrastination maybe does? LOL!

Here are ten of the updates—excluding my facebook that I haven’t opened for a year because I don’t know where to begin when I open it—that gave me the most random emotions. <THEY ARE IN RANDOM ORDER>

(Also includes some of the stuff I already read before [like last summer], but still read late [like it was given last February] Sigh I should stop procrastinating, seriously.)

  •  FanGirl mode: When the best fashion blogger in the world (for me and for some) replies to you..

I can’t explain how happy I was when I read this. I mean, I didn’t expect to get a reply from ate Camille! And now, I already met her twice (last Candy Style Awards and Bloggers United 3) She was the one I wrote the article “Not only a style icon, but also a role model” for. :”)

  •  When a Lookbook friend that you want to be featured at Candy Style Files got featured already! Yey! :)

Ate Lovely Bulatao of Lovely-Vogue is at Candy Style Files! Yehey :D I remember messaging her because I really think she has what it takes to appear in one of Candy’s pages. She was hesitant at first but thankfully she was convinced later on. And now she’s featured, I can’t help but smile!!! Weeeee :) But what made me smile more, is she didn’t forget our convo pala. Her short message gave me a big grin. So sad, though, that I read her message which was sent last May, just now (July) :O

  • When a blogger appreciates what you wrote about her even without you sending her a notice. Unexpected!

This is really OVERwhelming. (I love you, ate AnaGon!) She is not only one of the best style bloggers, but one of the kindest, realest (if that’s the correct superlative), and most down-to-earth bloggers everrrrrr. Of course I can’t exclude how kind she really is in my BU post :’)))

  • When you receive invites to events and launchings of some brands you adore—and read them after the events were finished: FRUSTRATING.

I wasn’t able to recount how many “sayang’s” I said after reading these :( (to lovelies outside the Philippines, sayang is the tagalog word for regret)

  • When a very dear friend of yours sends you a Tumblr Ask—not to ask, but to tell you “I miss you.” in French :’)

Favorite ko to! :) TA from Renee :’D (The awesome person + awesome friend I was talking to here.) BBDear, I miss you!! I know you know it but yes, I will still say it. :c (Ugh Diliman took my friends away from me! Chos :o) Balik ka na dito LB :) Joke, I mean visit us hehe. At I hope magblog ka na ulit!!

  • When you look at your Lookbook account after one year and be thankful for the people you didn’t expect to be there.

One year ago: (because I didn’t knew how to printscreen then, haha!)

…then..

One year in Lookbook taught me so many things, and caused me to meet so many stylish and kind people :’) Thanks to Candymag for being the way for me to discover this website! I will post about hints of my lookbook story next time :)

  • When people appreciate your advise—and friendship, even not IRL and just online.

Two of the Lookbook comments in my profile months ago :’) I can’t help but smile when I realize that my advise, even in little things, make other people happy. These girls are just two of my Lookbook pals, and we learn together and exchange advises to each other. Shaynna—check her blog here!—is one of my closest Lookbook friends since last year. (And hopefully before 2013, we’ll meet in person! :) On the other hand, I met Bey recently this summer. (Welcome ulit, dear! Sobrang napangiti ako ng comment mo :))

  • Unexpected E-mails.

“…Bored, I typed into google, I wrote something and I hate it. And your fashion blog came up. The post of what you hate. I also noticed your Philippians 4:13 at the top.

So I had a bit of a more lookie at your bio.

I don’t really know why I’m telling you this. I have so much to do. I am in year eleven, just turned sixteen, a girl growing up in Western Australia and am emailing you for some reason.

Sorry this is so random, but you sound kinda splendid.

I am fully in love with God. And randomly felt to pray for you. And I wanted to email you. Not so sure why. But anyway, I have wasted enough of your time now.

My name is …”

^When you receive a random e-mail from someone who lives at the other side of the planet, and prays for you :) Btw, this was a response to a post I didn’t think to be read by other people since it was a random, wordy, emotional, personal post supposedly put on my personal blog but found its way to my style blog. So it’s really unexpected, but I’m grateful for it. ..Dear ______, if you’ll read this, I am so thankful to God He led you to my blog to pray for me. I love, need and appreciate prayers sooo much. I hope you read my e-mail reply even if it was late!!!! :)

^When God gives you opportunities to learn and make a difference. Overwhelming *u* (Thaaaaaaaaaaank You, Lord!) This is a miracle, I passed my application at the last minute—literally. 11:59 PM of July 11 so, my answers were rushed :( But God really makes the impossible possible. :)

  • When you suddenly had a convo with the very down-to-earth WonderWoman and almost met but didn’t [meet] yet: Bittersweet.

It all started when I retweeted one of WonderWoman’s tweets. She was really really nice. Also, it was my very first time to hear one of the bloggers I look up to tell me “…I hope I get to meet you someday…” OMG so I was jumping in front of the PC then! I know it’s just a tweet and not a lotto jackpot but, fangirls, you understand me, right?

To cut the story short, we ‘almost’ met last Bloggers United 3 :( But since, you know (if you read my BU post), I didn’t make it to the time between 2-5pm. Sayang. But I know I’ll meet her soon. In God’s time :D

  • When a late reply is sent (and the receiver reads it late, too) but still means a lot!

Ate angela is one of the friendliest persons you’ll meet in Tumblr! Visit her inspiring blog here!

Since I don’t open littlemisspinkeagle@yahoo.com that much, I just saw this and really, I can’t count my smiles then :) Iba pala talaga yung feeling pag yung blogger ang nagsabi sa reader na “I hope to meet you soon!” Parang baligtad dapat pero :”> Thanks, ate Nika. I love your blog, too! I mean, who doesn’t? :)

…Looking at these (as well as those I haven’t printscreened) I am feeling a lot of mixed emotions. I hope I will overcome procrastination soon.

A dreamer shouldn’t be a procrastinator. Yet a lot of dreamers are, and oh, I am one of them :O

By the way, before I end up oveeeer-talking again, God bless your week ahead loveliesss! Mine’s a truly busy one, and I think yours is, too. :) [We can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us! Philippians 4:13]

This was drafted last July 21, 2012

A colorful outfit calls for a colorful background :)

One of my school outfits stocked in my drafts :) I wore this last March 7. Shots were taken by Keselle Louise—I misssss you Kes!—at UPLB’s Secret Garden (lol jk, I just call it secret garden. This is the one near UPLB FI hehe) I entered it because the gate was open and it seemes so quiet and peaceful and yes, you know what happens when photography and fashion enthusiasts or bloggers see beautiful spots… Hehe

Then came Ate who asked us to sign their logbooks. Nahiya naman ako. LOL. I just went in. But it’s okay, so long as we signed, even if it’s late :)

Blue-green Jeans, Mom’s;

Light pink tanktop, thrifted

Black cardigan, thrifted; black shoes, thrifted

Knitted earrings, ka-ekekan LB; violet belt, thrifted; UPLB baller, UPLB StreetJazz; ID Cord, Paponeis; USB, CD-R King; USB accessory, Pagudpud Resort Ilocos

Pink. Green. Violet. Blue. Colooooors :) And white. And yes, ID cords should be called USB cords. Chos.

Hype my look in lookbook here :)

God bless, lovelies!

Fashion isn’t shallow, isn’t trivial, isn’t what you think.

I don’t know how to begin this, I have said this to a few friends before but I guess it’s about time to put it down on paper. Virtual paper, that is :))

I hope I can express it the way I want to. And I will do my best to put coherence. But I think I cannot. Forgive my redundance.

Fashion is one word that could mean different things, to different people. …just like any word.

To some it might seem trivial, useless, plain vanity, and whatever. But to others, it could have so much importance. It is noble, it is beyond what people usually think.

Thing is, we have different passions and interests; we have different opinions.

————-You can tell us, better are the people who just wear simple things, slippers, and just plain clothes because clothes don’t dictate who you are. Well, dearies, true. Clothes don’t define you wholly as a person, but it doesn’t make dressing up bad. But truth is, no one is necessarily “better than the other” between a simple person and a really-fashion-obsessed one. It’s just that we have different interests. You don’t necessarily have to be the same in the way you dress to be together. I have friends who prefer jeans-and-shirts on a daily basis, but we do get along.

Truth is, in my case, I haven’t met a fashionista yet who criticizes people who prefer shorts/jeans + shirts/tanks + slippers; but I have already met ‘simple’ people who hate the beyond-the-norms and different styles, or in short fashion enthusiasts. Huhhhhh? There is no need for this. I mean,

  • you can voice out your opinion, just for expression, but you can’t dictate what people would wear (there is a difference between advising and dictating, guys) except if you have authority (i.e., dress codes in school and places and events and affiliations, etcetera)
  • you can also be annoyed. Your eyes, as human beings’ can be offended, but don’t hate. Because I met some people who want bloggers to die, or at least, want their clothes to be burned. C’mon, is this hate or crab mentality?

————-Simplicity is subjective, too. (Credits to author Ptr. Ed Lapiz for this concept) In terms of fashion, what could people perceive as an overdressed outfit could just be underdressed to fashion enthusiasts. Fashion is subjective. Again, respetohan na lang kasi. When I wear somewhat corporate-or-MOA-ish outfit which I just find simple, people who don’t know me that much will ask me

“bakit ka nakaporma?/ why are you dressed up?” (because if they know me, like if they see me everyday ever since, they won’t ask me)

then I’ll tell “Haaaa??? Ang simple ko na nga ee./Whaaat? This is simple for me.”

They will answer, “Kung simple ka sa lagay na yan, ano tingin mo sakin, basura? / If you’re simple that way, then what do you think of us, garbage?”

Noooooo. I respect you guys, it’s just that we have different standards, and we can’t impose it to people. (Again, with the exception of authority at times :/ )

I don’t really get this. Friends should respect personalities. People are beyond clothing, go look at the soul. Hindi porket maarte, vain, eh hindi na friend-worthy, they can be the people you can rely on for a lifetime.

————-A person who saves up for books, or other sensible things, doesn’t have the right to claim that, oh, I am better than those who are saving up for “materialistic” things such as clothes, or maybe dolls for others, or collectible toys. Different things make us happy. We have our different ways of expression, too. You can’t hate the persons who love the things you ignore. We’re not doing anything against you, right? Stop visiting the sites you find annoying, then. Stop roaming in lookbook and do your eyes a favor.

————-Fashion is not something to pursue just to solely seek attention (because fashionistas, admit it, we always faced that judgment) again, it is a PASSION, a hobby, a nature for some. And it’s definitely not a crime.

————-There is nothing wrong with being attached to clothes and vain things, so long as you don’t “worship it” or make it your Lord and you still put it in the right place; so long as you don’t sin because of it, i.e. having debts here and there because of your obsession to clothes, especially branded ones, or it makes you steal, or it makes you love material more than the people in your life (hello, this is freaking wrong but I think these are just rare cases); so long as you don’t feel bad about yourself because instead of fashion becoming an inspiration, it becomes an avenue for insecurities. So long as you are not stepping on anyone, go do and wear what you want. (Just like John Stewart Mill’s harm principle)

Of course there are limitations, but limitations themselves are subjective to each of us, and we have to respect others’ points, too. We can express our opinions. That’s good. But just advise, don’t impose.

————-Fashion, despite being senseless to others, well, to some of us, fashion is our favorite form of art. ”What to wear” is one of the artistic things to look forward to, everyday. You don’t have to wait for legit occassions, while of course it doesn’t mean you will wear gowns to classes, but you do get the point. And just like you, who have your own passions which we respect, we have our passions as well, and that includes fashion.

In short, when you tell a fashion enthusiast to stop dressing up, taking pictures of it, and blogging it—which is our platform of expression and inspiration for our love for style—or lookbooking it,

it’s like you question and stop a singer from vocalizing,

an athlete from training everyday,

a dancer from warming up,

a speaker from practicing speeches, and so on.

To us fashion enthusiasts, dressing up is not just kaartehan, it’s one of the steps closer to our dreams, because fashion is one of the fields we are serious about in the future. And fashion is an industry, too.

I don’t know if I expressed enough, but I think you get the point with the parallelism I used.

Wearing clothes is not just something that’s trivial. It doesn’t make us shallow. Of course whatever we put on our fashion blogs, these are fashion related, but it doesn’t make us limited. It’s just that we dedicate this to our love for fashion.

————-Go pursue your dreams and passions. Even if people tell you you’re “chaka” or whatever, or that you’re not suited for the field you want, go on.

I think when you remove one’s passion from a person, it’s like figurative torture. You don’t want that. No one wants that. So please, respect.

————————————————————————————————————

I guess it all boils down to one thing: respecting subjectivity. And harmless subjectivity keeps life from being boring. Art in everything—including fashion—keeps the world interesting.

………………………………………………………………………………….

Sigh. I think I have already released 20% of what I feel O.o As much as I want to continue, I don’t want this to be an incoherent novel again. LOL. Better keep it a novelette. Chos! Til next time. :) Hihi. These, are my opinions, my words, okay? I am not imposing them :) I respect if you disagree. I’d love to know what you think :) Don’t worry, again, I respect opinions :) Teehee. God bless, dearies!

Philippine Fashion Week Day 5: What I wore =)

Laaaaate post, I know! Hihi. I went to Philippine Fashion Week Day 5. It was an answered prayer to be there *u* (Thanks again to Miss Tina Herrera!) Before the short fashionphotodiary (which I honestly don’t know when will be uploaded) here’s what I wore :)

Prints, pastel sheer, edgy boots. Sort of a mixture. :) I missed wearing outfits like these when there are no rules to follow. Chos. Teehee. If only everyday (or at least every other day) was PFW. Because now I inevitably have to adjust to school simplicity, you know. And events like this are opportunities to be my “unboxed” dressed self again. Char! Hehe. Onto my outfit :)

Sheer cropped button-down, thrifted.

I love buttoned tops but I like it more when I leave the second button and the rest below it open. Hihi. But in this case, I did it because it didn’t fit me. Had I buttoned everything, they will break. LOL! Okay, I will try my best—magdadiet na ako :p Anyhow, I actually loved how it turned out, though.

printed halter dress, Obey

The dress is sooooo comfortable. (Thanks so much to my Auntie!!!) This is also one of my overused pieces! Haha. When the weather is difficult to bare with, I take this dress off my closet and I’m good to go. :) Plus, a cardi coz this is some sort of revealing. Hehe.

Layered necklace, from my eldest brother’s girlfriend :’)

I love the blending of peach and light blue above :) Pastelssssss. (teka peach nga ba to? hmmmm)

The necklace was Ate April’s gift when I was in elementary, but I have used it for about more or less five times (one of those times is this) so far! Haha, I take care of it soooo much. xD

Colorful cuff, thrifted; orange ring, ka-ekekan LB; ethnic printed cuff, gift; gem cuff, gift; Candy charm bracelet, Candymag!

I also misssssssed wearing layered accessories O.o Sigh, thanks PFW!

my overused Pink-clearbook-slash-attache-case, National Book Store; Binocular Case, my Dad’s

So I’m being vain again in a Comfort Room, or basically, with anything that has reflection. LOL. This is at SMX 2nd Floor.

My two bags are squares of different sizes! Haha. But I love the fact that they are NOT bags anyway, though I use them as such. The attache almost goes with me everyday. It’s one of the things you can call functional and fashionable at the same time.

And the other bag? Haha, yes, that’s my Dad’s BINOCULAR CASE :) The first time I saw it, I felt my heart beating for it. Chos! I know I cannot resist to use it! And after this day, I overused it. Dad often laughs at me “Oh no, nawalan na ng case yung binocular ko.”

Boots, Jessica at SM Department Store; high black socks, Biofresh

super love this cropped shot. Hihi. The binocular case and the shoes/socks seem to blend so well. By the way, yes, these shoes and socks are one of my favorite combos :) Spell overused. Haha. These shoes create a new look when paired with socks.

I think this is one of my favorite outfits. Share lang haha:)

“Fashion can never be explained by a set of rules.”- Camille Co. True. So don’t prevent yourself from going beyond norms and being too trend-conscious.

Hype my look on lookbook here :)

That’s all for now :) Did you also go to PFW? I am crossing my fingers to see you dears this coming October :) God bless, deariessssss! :D

PS. Dear Friends who went to UP Diliman, (if ever some of you might read this) I miss you soooooo much! keep in touch >.<

..last two hours of Bloggers United 3 :’)

Filled with people. Booths complete with adorable stuff. Inspiring bloggers here and there. Live music. Hosted styling games. Sounds of applause and clicks of cameras, I bet, were heard everywhere. Stylish. Interactive. FUN!!

That’s the scene, or just a glimpse of Bloggers United 3! Last Saturday :) I saw the blog entries of my favorite bloggers and also fellow candygirls’, and indeed, I saw the full-of-people-super-lively-ambience of the event. It was really unforgettable.

But what’s left to a girl who got lost in Makati for not reviewing the address before leaving home (which is three hours away)? When my feet first stepped in the venue, I saw some booths being closed. Some few shoppers. Some of the bloggers I’m really looking forward to see—especially Miss Angeline Rodriguez of Wonder Woman Rises—were already gone due to other events, etc. Then I looked at my clock, and it ‘shouted’ 7PM to my eyes. Okay, I missed the peak of the event I’ve always been looking forward too O.o

BUT, you know what, dearies? NO REGRETS! NOT EVEN ONE BIT :) In the cab, I was like “OMG once I saw my favorite bloggers, this is ALL worth it. No regrets at all. No regrets! Even if our travel time+searching/inquiring time would be more than the time I’d spend there. Meeting them is more than enough! :)” Thankfully the driver was so patient in asking other people where the building is. And indeed, those last two hours of #BU3 were really memorable. I went home haaaaappy. Thanking GOD still for the opportunity! I met many, though not all, of the bloggers I look up to, and it made all the difference! That’s the primary reason why I went there anyway :’))

Anyway, here’s a bit of why we got lost. (but you might as well go on with the pictures below because I am a random talker :/) Hoho. So excited, I didn’t review the address before I left the house. I was preoccupied with two things…One, which is my main reason, was meeting the bloggers I look up to; and two, buying some of the cheapest yet cutest clothes or stuff from their closets :) (btw we didn’t search since 11am okay haha) Mom has appointment earlier so we met later in the afternoon. We were in Makati by 6. And, no driver/traffic enforcer/person we talked to know where the place is. O.o I actually don’t believe deep inside, but nevertheless I just kept praying. I told God to reserve (hihi) the stuff He wills for me. Haha. I prayed for a satchel, an envelope bag, bow accessories, and few pieces of clothes. Because we’re on a budget :) But then again, the important thing for me is to meet them face to face :”D Ugh, my fault that I did not look at the address again :(” I saw it last May in a quick, quick glance and you know my memory, which is always preoccupied with nostalgia, doesn’t easily remember, hoho. (except for moments to reminisce)

Anyway, so much for the blabber, here are the pictures! :D

there, i first saw Kelly Medina of The Travelling Boots. He does the trend color blocking really well! (i hate that this shot is so blurry. sayang :’c)

Miss Fashion Eggplant Sarah Tirona was really nice!

OMG, answered prayer! Finally, with the top fashion blogger-Laureen Uy! I remember how I said “I’m gonna see her again soon.” because I haven’t had a picture with her last Candy Style Awards due to the tons of fans around her :)

ate Patricia Prieto of Paradigma is sooooo gorgeous O.o I love her dress so much btw :)   Fashion Bandwagon lady Stephanie Dy is like a living doll :)

because I’m such a fangirl!.. :) I have my Paris notebook with me and asked for autograph signs. Yey! :) Sadly, I have only asked five of them coz of time constraint and shopping “busy-ness” LOL (I took shots of the signs but I plan to upload them on a different post~ayan na naman ang next time :O sana matupad ko) I love this stolen shot btw. Mom loves taking stolen shots ever since O.o Haha

 with the hot, Wicked Ying!

the beautiful Marj Sia. Sigh. If only I could hire her to be my make-up artist :)

saw Verniece and ate Vern again! >.< Yey, they’re two of the sweetest bloggers, i tell you:) the first time I met them made me teary-eyed hihi (last Candy Style Awards) these sisters are BEYOND AWESOME :) So talented, yet so down-to-earth. Btw, the woman behind is their Mom, now I know where they got their beauty :)

Yey, good thing I saw her before she left! :) ate Krissy of Krissyfied! :) She was friendly too :’)

OMG my heart is screaming while this picture is taken. The superb bloggers behind Paradigma and It’s Camille Co! Have I told you that ate Camille Co is the best fashion blogger in the world? (in my opinion) :D oh yeah, I think I said that at least three times? Hihi. (btw I wrote about her here last year, because that’s how much impact she had in me :)

with the stylish Cebuano blogger, ate Gizelle Faye of Vanilla Ice Cream! I am totally in love with her maxi skirt that I hoped it was included in her booth. Haha. And oh btw, Mom and I bought over ten pieces in her booth! They were sold for really low prices :D I’ll blog about all the stuff God reserved for me in a different post. Yey! :) (Thank you, Lord!)

Anyway, of course my night wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t meet the three gorgeous ladies who I and hundreds of people owe this event to :) The founders! Who happened to be the friendliest bloggers I everrrrrr met so far! :D

I was really happy when I met ate Ana Gonzales! :) She was really one of the specific people I soo wanted to meet because I watched the video about the venue on her blog..I tweeted that OMG, i just watched the vid in miss Anagon’s blog sobrang friendly pala ni miss paxieness! Then she replied “hehe see you!”, and the fangirl in me was jumping in front of the computer last week. Haha. Yes, even that simple act makes me happy, dearies :)

Anyway, after the picture was taken, she chatted with us for a few minutes *weeee i got happier of course!* (oo na, dears, ganyan na kababaw ang kaligayahan ko, owki? teehee..) When she figured out that we’ve been lost in Makati and she figured out we’re from LB, she said “Sorry ah, naligaw kayo.” OMG i didn’t expect it, hihi, she was that nice. Of course I said it’s totally okay, (it’s all my fault by the way haha.) Yet I wish I also told her that meeting her and them makes it ALL WORTH IT :) But more than that, she even said “Thank you sa pagpunta niyo dito ha.” Awwww, those words, those words were echoing in my head even on the way home. Her concern and appreciation of the effort which I didn’t even expect to be noticed just touched my heart. (okay, sorry I’m too corny I know, but really, I. Mean. It. :’) Those few minutes of chatting with her made the night more worth it for me. I can’t wait to meet her again.

After that, I was so happy to meet the genius jack-of-all-trades yet so down-to-earth and friendly, ate Melai Entuna!! When I first approached her if I could take a picture, her first reaction was “Uy, girl! Sure” Haha, she’s that friendly to her readers :) It’s like, they’re not readers. It’s like they’re highschool classmates or something like that. :D she was the host of the event but sayang, I was late so I didn’t witness much. But indeed, she’s a good, good emcee that I wish I might be able to hire her as a host to one of my events.. *ehem, October*

But anyway, her shop F-STOP is definitely worth stopping at! Look at the clothes behind us, dears. I got most of those, including the clothes in my hands (except for my Mommy’s jacket, teehee:)

And yes, I finally also met @Paxieness of Drowning Equilibriums! ate Aisa’s probably the jolliest blogger you will ever meet haha. I told her I was the one who tweeted that i watched their vid and became more excited when I saw how jolly she is. Haha. Her “ay tama!” in the vid is one of the echoing lines in my ear after watching it last week. I also remembered how she jumped in the first part. Haha! She’s such a fun person! BTW when I saw her, I also saw Mr. Paul the PR guy and Fashion Fangirl-Tracy Ayson but I dunno why I was too shy to ask them for a picture with them then.. O.o maybe next time hopefully..

And with the two of them! Yeheeeeeeeeeeeeey :’) ate Pax said “With Ana din! tayong tatlo.” Then later we saw her so she said “Ana, sama ka, dali!” And thanks a lot for that, we had this picture :)

I forgot to have any outfit shot of what I wore O.o So here’s my outfit went I went home :) I changed my boots to my floral sneakers. Of course, still wearing my favorite black socks. And look what I am wearing, I didn’t change it, I just added something: that polka-dotted polo with a hoodie which I bought it at F-Stop’s booth! :) (excuse my bangag face LOL)

Anyway, here’s a sneak peek of what I bought. :) This is not even a half of what Mom and I shopped for a very low priceeeeee :”) Mostly from Vanilla Ice Cream and F-Stop :) GOD is sooo sweet to give these gifts ^-^

My sister! ;) a.k.a my Mom :) and bestfriend, cheerleader, confidant, etc., lahat na. (monster, too, when she’s angry HAHA but it’s okay :) Teehee we ate at KFC after.

Indeed, though if Bloggers United was a cake, and I only got the chance to eat the leftover because I was so late, it still tasted so sweet. That means, the event in itself was sooooo much sweeter :) So sweet that I cannot wait for the next. Gonna save up for you now, BU4. haha!

And next time, I will finally meet all the inspiring bloggers I’m just seeing through the net but in person, not yet..especially WonderWoman, Kryz Uy (i saw her last CandyStyleAwards but, you know if you saw my post :o), Lissa Kahayon (and finally thank her for my Candygirl shirt! :”) David Guison, Artsy Fartsy Ava, Paul Jatayna, Cheyser Pedregosa, Jessa Ang, Bjorn Bedayo, THEAIDXPAREDES, ate Charlene Ajose, Joanna Ladrido, Crissey, DominiqueValerie Chua and soooo many more :))

By then, I will also meet my fashion net-friends I haven’t met yet. Hello, Shayy Love (shayy miss na kita!) Celina Molina, fellow candygirls/lookbookers and all of you dearies :’)

And oh, next time, I will MEMORIZE THE ADDRESS OF THE VENUE BEFORE LEAVING ;)

(And plus next time, DaddyGod will give me more money for shopping Yey! sigh. *by faith* hihi)

That’s it for now :) SORRY I am never concise :/ teehee`. hope to see you at #BU4, lovely deariessssss <3

PS. Sigh I have so many things to post yet. So many drafts undone :( an dami ko nang next times diba? LOL (hay ano ba, I also want to post some stuff I am posting in my private personal blog here like the One-year-ago’s and years ago because I remember the dates and moments so vividly it bothers me a lot O.o)

Campus StyleFiles #3

For being in my drafts for so long, here is the third batch of Campus StyleFiles, dearies! :) Shots taken last January. :)

Prints and stripes combo plus a statement accessory would always be a stylish+comfy outfit for school! :D This is actually a stolen shot but she still looks gorgeous! (will miss you VGmate Bea as you shift to UPD :’)

Denim on denim outfit by Janine. :) It’s always nice to try denim on denim with different shades.

love this outfit :) so student-comfy but stylish. (By the way, she’s the former president of the UPLB CommArts Soc!)

In case you heard this saying, it’s true! Florals never go out of style :)

Plains and prints (just like the brand ;) always look good together.

I love the lace and pink here! :) Here’s an attire for speech com 1. I used to grab the chance to take fashion photography shots every Friday because SPCM 1 (most awesome GE) requires semi-formal attires for speeches :D But most of my classmates are shy , though (#missing section F-3R all the more)

White mixed with a light pastel color creates a soft vibe in any outfit. :) This is one of the shots Jam and I took last Jan.16 for another spontaneous unofficial photoshoot  in the campus. Haha! I might upload some of our outfit pictures then next time :) (OMG, i mentioned so many next times in this blog already O.o like I said, I only get to blog 5% or so of the stuff I want to blog or release in my seven-different-category-blogs.)

c

So there’s the third batch, lovelies! :) Which is your favorite outfit? :)

Will upload next batch next week and this is a promise <3 (I want to get my tons of drafts here in my other six (public and private) done overtime LOL )

‘Til net time, dearies! Lotsa love, Graceeeee

Bloggers United Strikes Three!

Third time’s the charm for the most anticipated fashion bloggers event in the country!

Bloggers United is staging their third bloggers bazaar this June 2 at the Grandview Events Place to once again gather Manila’s top fashion bloggers in one single venue outside of the World Wide Web. After holding two successful events last year, Bloggers United has easily become one of the most anticipated affairs for both fashion bloggers and readers in the metro.  More than just a bazaar, Bloggers United also partners with charitable groups to use and channel their influence in a positive manner.

Through the overwhelming power of social media and blogs in today’s generation, the previous Bloggers United events have successfully joined forces with top fashion bloggers like Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy and many more to inspire their followers and to raise funds for various beneficiaries,  namely KIDS Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation. This time around, the event will benefit Operation Smile Philippines.

The event gets better and better every time! To make Bloggers United 3 even more momentous, top Indonesian fashion blogger Anastasia Siantar of The Brown Platform will also be selling alongside Cebu fashion bloggers and our very own top celebrities Divine Lee & Sarah Meier.

So, if you love blog-reading and blog-hopping, Bloggers United is sure to be the perfect end-of-summer bazaar for you. Not only will you be able to bump elbows with your favorite bloggers at the event, but you will also be able to snag some of their own stylish statement pieces as they open their closets to sell to the public. Stay-up-to-date with the biggest gathering of bloggers by following us on Twitter (twitter.com/bloggers_united) and Facebook (facebook.com/bloggersunitedph), and bookmarking our official webpage (bloggersunited.org).

Yay! This is where I am going now :”) Thank You, Lord! I pray Daddy God reserves the pieces He wills for me :)))) Actually, my savings aren’t much but what I am more excited of, is to meet the bloggers behind the blogs I really love again and meet new blogger friends :) OMG. Some of them I would meet for the first time in person! And tweeting with them for the past days got me more excited.

There’s nothing nicer than to meet people who share the same passion and understand the same endeavor! :)

Thanks for my free pass from the fabulous blogger Joanna Ladrido :) Who’s going? See you there! Oh yeah, I’m from Los Banos Laguna heading to Makati, Manila.

A blessed day! :)

♥ my Candy Style Awards 2012 experience

Note: Sigh, I don’t know where to begin. But oh well I am aware that, I always begin like that. Teehee :)) BTW I know I’m not on my personal blog but this is a fashion event so I think it’s worth sharing to be in my style blog :D plus, I’m a candygirl forever.

(coz I am too wordy you might just want to scroll down fast and view the pictures LOL)

Really, I still can’t get over with what happened last May 4: the first ever Candy Style Awards. It was such an answered prayer to be there..the first Candy event I’ve been to :) Met fellow candygirls, a few celebrities, candy cuties, but most of all, the bloggers I look up to and Candy Editors that have been inspiring me for years already! Now I can’t wait for more Candy events and fashion events :)

My parents finally allowed me just that day itself, as long Dad will accompany me back and forth. Yes, you might say my parents are so-very-overprotective, but I can’t be more than thankful for it. :’)

So yes, I was going there. Yay! But there were few hesitations. 1) I wasn’t prepared with what to wear. Haha. Attendees were encouraged to wear their most stylish outfits :D I really went for a simple outfit, though, one that I would normally wear for a normal schoolday. But more than that, 2) second hesitation was I would go there alone. Had I known days before that I’d be going (grammar nazis, I need your help LOL) I would have texted my bestfriend Anna, and my candy girl friends like Prei and Keselle for us to have this fashion date :’) But no, too late I was inviting them that same day.

But with courage, I decided to go anyway. God answered my prayer to go here. Why hesitate still? :) I felt His comfort. “Daughter, I’ll be with you. You won’t be alone. Never.” And I felt that more when that same day—an hour before Dad and I left—I received the Air 21 parcel containing my candygirl shirt which I won through Ms. Lissa Kahayon’s blog :) [will blog about it in a different post] Awww I was really teary-eyed when I received it. I knew I had to wear it that day :) It feels so meant to be!! Though a fashion event doesn’t often welcome shirts, and though I myself is not a lover-but not a hater either-of shirts, well this one is definitely not just another shirt :) Aside from the fact that only few chosen people own the same piece, this shirt speaks a large part of who I am, that part which brought me there at the event in the first place :)

I am. A true-blue. Candygirl. Forever :’)

So yeah, I went despite these tiny hesitations and questions. After all, one of the characteristics of a true-blue candygirl is she’s fearless for the right reasons :) She would bring confidence with her wherever she goes and that would take her far. She would not let any hesitation or inhibition hinder her from letting the right reasons bring out the best in her. Thus, a true-blue candygirl opens every opportunities with a smile even though at times, with fear.

Now as I’m looking back at the pictures I took then which I’d be posting below, I can’t be more than thankful. Thaaaaaaaaanks Candy! :)

Arrived at PowerPlant Mall by almost 6 o’clock already.. :) Above’s a picture of the long line of stylish candygirls waiting outside Rockwell Tent. And that picture doesn’t even show half of the actual line. :)

Anyway, above’s the ultra-simple-outfit-for-a-fashion-event that I was talking about  :)) But I liked it though. Worn my fave girly-rocker color combo: black and pink. It was simple but it made the statement of my shirt stand out. And I think that mattered more :) More about my outfit in my outfit post here

I was alone when I came there, ‘til I met fellow Candygirls Nika, Joann and Shane. They were the girls next to me in line. One of them accidentally bumped me and said “Sorry.” I said “Okay lang” with a smile :) And that started our conversation :) These girls were so nice I didn’t feel like a stranger :) Thanks still to Candymag for teaching every reader how not to be afraid in meeting new people and building new friendships. :D

Shane

Joann

Nika :)

I envy them because they are incoming senior high school students :) I so wish I am still in highschool. LOL. (I found college more enjoyable, though, but highschool is just more memorable..)

Inside the venue! :)

A picture of Megan and Lauren Young giving their speech for winning Best Stylish Sisters :) It was one of the awards given to the show. (Awards were given to the most stylish celebrities :)

Candygirls shouted out as Somedaydream gave his intermissions :)

Two of the most inspiring people I know, Mimi Tiu and Marla Miniano of Candy magazine =)

By the way, here’s a picture of Candy Style Stars Laureen Uy, Kryz Uy, Patricia Prieto, Sarah Lahbati, Jasmin Curtis-Smith, Tricia Gosingtian, Jaz Reyes, and of course, Mango It Girl Camille Co! :))))

With ate Vern Enciso of A Shoe Tale :’)

I was watching the event when, I saw the Enciso siblings moving out of the venue, so I ran outside too because I felt they were already leaving. I soooo wanted to meet them. Thankfully, I did! And oh my gosh, they were so nice and sincere :”)

Before I got to approach them, someone went to them first, I think it was a brand. Then Vern looked back and saw me, and smiled. :’) The conversation is still going between them, and she looked back at me and smiled again. Those two smiles meant a lot for me :”> Then she told the girl who was first fixing things to take a picture with her “Saglit lang ha, unahin muna namin siya.”

And that was it! OMG, they came to me. I was so overwhelmed. I can’t believe the people who I just see in the internet are right now in front of me, smiling :’) They were so kind. Really. They were the ones who took the pictures :) Vern thanked a lot when I said they inspire me so much. Verniece asked “Anong pangalan mo?” “Grace.” “It’s really nice meeting you!” OMG :’) I know those are just simple things but it meant a lot to me. They were so humble, so sweet, so real. OMG.

It’s one thing to inspire your readers through your blogs; making them feel special, even in little ways, is another. :’)

This is my picture with Verniece Enciso :)

After I took pictures with them, I was teary-eyed and I felt that I still want to talk to them but I don’t know what to say and I know they’re about to leave.. All I said was “Sobrang sobrang saya ko po nakilala ko kayo thank you so much!”

And after that, I went to the venue. Still feeling overwhelmed. Still teary-eyed. Then two drops of very small tears of joy fell :) Of course I wiped them instantly. The event was so happy. Duhh, no room for tears. LOL.

With one of the people I love—not just admire—the most, ate Linn Oeymo

But guess what? After wiping the two little droplets, I haven’t prevented more tears from falling when I saw Ate Linn! I love her so much. That tight-hug-after-a-year-without-seeing-each-other, OMG, made me cry.  I missed her so much. I’m a Linnian so I met her last 2010 and 2011 in the show Shoutout. And haven’t met her again since. Yet she didn’t forget. Didn’t change. :) “Kamusta ka na? Kayo? Si Jen? Sana magkitakita tayo ulit. I miss you!”  Those sentences were one of those that echoed the most in my head.

Anyway, here are more pictures :)

with the gorgeous model, Janina Tan! <3 been seeing her in the pages of Candy for years and now I met her face to face :) -*stunning*-

Also met the gorgeous girl behind Mbrella Multimedia :)

With Male Blogger Robbie Becroft of the awesome blog Robbie Off Duty

With Tracy Ayson of Fashion Fangirl :) She’s even prettier in person! <3

With Kelly Medina of The Travelling Boots! =) Check out his blog post about Candy Style Awards: http://www.kellymedina.net/post/23092925646/candy-style-awards-2012 and see all the winners and details of the event! :D

OMG, with the superb Tricia Gosingtian! I love it that she offered to hold the camera :’)

With my most favorite fashion blogger in the entire world, ate Camille Co! (she messaged me in lookbook saying it’s okay that I call her with the ate haha) She was in a hurry because she already needs to go that time but I’m so glad I interacted with her even for just five seconds. :) I know I will see her again. I will. I will :’)

I really love this shot! If you’re the girl here with Kryz Uy, (you also might be a blogger, yey!) I’d love to know you and put your name here:) I was actually waiting to have a picture with her but I often let other people first thinking I can take a picture with her anyway so I can wait. But then, after some more shots, she already needed to leave and went in a hurry all of a sudden and said sorry. Sayang I didn’t had a picture with her but again, I know I’ll see her again :)

I also haven’t had pictures with bloggers Patricia Prieto, and Laureen Uy :( Laureen was surrounded by so many fans. I also wished that I had a picture with Lissa Kahayon! I saw her—and was stunned—before the event started but the procrastinator that I am was like “At the end of the event is the time for that.” But she left early I guess and haven’t seen her again that night :( Supersayang. I wanted to say thank you to her, it seems like a nice first meet that I am wearing the Candygirl shirl I won through her giveaway and just arrived that day itself! Awww :’)

Anyway, now I’ll be sharing pictures with some of the Candy Cuties! To say they are cute is actually an understatement :)

I think he’s the cutest :)

He was one of the friendliest :) Enzo.

One of the kindest and I also think he’s the jolliest of them all, model LA! :D

The Candy Cuties weren’t just cute but were also nice and gentlemen to all of us candygirls! Though I am usually not that comfortable with “akbays” in real life (prolly except in pictures for a few seconds, and with close friends) but then haha, Candy Cuties are exception to the ‘rules’!! LOL. :) They were friendly to all of us Candygirls and Candymen.

Of course, here’s a picture with the fabulous Candygirls I met and spent the night with :’) I seriously want them to start their own blogs, too :) Thanks again, gals! (If ever you’ll have the chance to read this :)

It was really a memorable night. I didn’t expect it to be because I was literally alone when I came. But Daddy God is so greaaaaat for giving me a day like this. And so is the great dad He gave me here who brought me there and fetched me afterwards. :’)

Before leaving the event. Pose with “Candy” :D (more outfit shots in my outfit post) Anyway, I also met the awesome Candy editors who inspired me and still inspires me and 100,00+ candygirls, but I will put them on a separate post :)

That’s all for now. :) Whew! Such a long post. Sorry I really am a very talkative detailed story teller. I’ll try if I can be more concise next time. Did you also go here last May 4? :) just curious :) I love fellow candygirls :)

GOD BLESS and stay stylish dearies!

PS I hope I’d publish my unfinished drafts one by one now :O

Pastel color blocking and such.. (Pelikultura Day 2)

Anyway, onto my outfit, I wore one of my favorite combos again. skirt and a long-sleeved top. :)

Flats, gift from Aunt; The top? Bought it at a thrift store. Good cheap find! Love the stripes, aside from their lovely candy colors, they’re also vertical :) You know, it’s that it-makes-you-look-a-bit-thinner thingie I’m believing.. haha

^Taken at DL Umali Auditorium after watching the second set of movies last Pelikul2ra: The CALABARZON Film Festival 2012. It was a really successful event. Personally, it made me appreciate indie films a whole lot more. It made me realize that some or maybe many of them are even better than the mainstream movies we usually get to watch. Congratulations to all the filmmakers! So proud of them :) They’re still students but wow, they work like a pro. :) But before I forget, again that I’m on my style blog and I’m uploading an outfit post not a review (hihi sorry i’m such one big random talker hoho! O.o) I’m gonna end this post :)

say hi to my friends Jessa and Samantha from BS AECO ‘11 =) They were the persons behind the camera for the shots above (arte ko haha okay in short photography by Jessa and Sam! :) Thank you so much ulit! missing you both =’)

Hype my look in lookbook here =) Thaaaaaaaaanks!

God bless and stay stylish, dear (s) !

Lotsa love,

Summer in the woods.. ♥

With this kind of weather, I find it extremely difficult to find outfits that are breezy enough to get some air and will not increase the heat my body feels :| But I’m not that used in wearing sleeveless tops and short shorts in public—not YET haha.. soon I probably will with the sleeveless thing, but with the short shorts, I reeeeeally don’t know—so good thing even loose three-fourth tops and comfy-but-not-too-short skirts combo does the trick ;) Breezy but not too showy :)

Combined florals and ruffles for this outfit =) Wanted to wear some stuff that spell S-U-M-M-E-R . But still stylish-plus-comfortable. I also love how the outfit blended w/ the background(OMG the background I’ve been eyeing since June 2011 haha! :) Floral dominance in what I’m wearing plus all the leeeeeeeaves! Then butterflies on my ears. Okay, nature inspired ;) Haha char!

 top, mom’s ; skirt, H & M

earrings, Aunt’s gift

 bag, gift

 floral sneakers, thrifted

(where exactly? at the thrift store near Robinson’s LB :) Only for 180 pesos! Haha, and I got it for 160 :) I actually bought it before as my emergency shoes coz my violet satin-velvet doll shoes got damaged, really damaged while I was in school :| But the silver lining is, I bought this :D Now I’m loving it so much even though I’m not a rubber shoes lover and I’m also not much a ‘floral person’ =)   #justsaying

etc bracelet, from Candy magazinehair telephone ties’ (LOL how is this exactly called, anyone? spring ties? char) Goody (Joke! How I wish. Di bale I promise to myself I’ll have quality ‘goods’ from Goody soon. I know you hear me, Lord :)

I will post a close-up picture of the etc bracelet prolly in my next posts. Anyway, I’m a trueeeee-blueeeeee candygirl since April 2006 :) Candymag is sooo.. okay I can’t continue this sentence in this outfit post or else I’ll be writing a novel..

If you want to know what I mean, grab a copy of the latest issue and see what I’m actually talking about :) That fulfilling feeling that’s so hard to explain, feel it yourself :) Be a candygirl (or a candyboy! it helps both genders, really, I know coz I have both genders. LOL kidding there..but SRSLY, Candy is a best-est friend not just exclusively for ladies but also for guys) Candy makes so much difference in one’s life.

But anyway moving with this outfit post..    :)

Here was my hairdo for the day! And practically for everyday this summer :)

Hype my look in lookbook here :) hope you’ll fan me too. Teehee =)

Yay for another post ^_^ A

nyway, how’s your summer, lovelies? It’s already May, I hope we’ll maximize the summer days left :) btw feel free to TA me or send anything in my inbox <3 Would love to know you more, dearies :) I believe one day we’ll all meet in person. Seriously :) For now, let our love for fashion, or photography, or BLOGGING, or all of them, bind us in the virtual world. (char sa virtual world ;)

Gerald Katigbak Fashion Show at Treston International College

One of Filipinos’ pride in the fashion industry, designer Gerald Katigbak flaunted his spring collection at the Fusion @ Treston 2011 event.  (Yep, super late post O.o this is another “anniversary post” But I can’t help but still admire every masterpiece! hope you’ll enjoy the photos ahead even though they’re not in good quality, I admit:)

here are more of the shots :) Yey I have been dreaming for so long to post fashion shows post here in my style blog hihi.

My favorite in the picture above is the one with the mullet design :)

Polka dots and flowers in an elegant combination. Wow =)

^I’d love to have this! :) But I’ll pair it with black tights

I super love this outfit! Sheer top and palazzo pants? Awesome. Reminds me of ate Camille Co’s love for subtle but sexy pieces :)

satin pants perfect !

meanwhile here are the shots of some of the male models :) Above shows one of my favorite outfits in the men collection. Violet and white =)

looks like a matured but still fierce Vaness Wu

my most favorite male outfit. Red blazer! You can never go wrong with that :) I just love it even though I’m not a red-obsessed person. Btw this outfit makes remember my Gawad Karangalan outfit, which was just the day before this event. Haha.

lovely coat

at the end of the show, the models conquered the runway again but this time, carrying Treston’s name. And I mean that literallly as you can see :)

love this shot! And oh, after all the shots, did you notice the “gorgeous floor?” haha who wouldn’t admire it? :)

the models after the fashion show :) Awwww which signals the wholeday event was also over. The day began with a campus tour at the fabulous campus of Treston—and that included meeting Chef Bauer himself—plus activities and booths to enjoy and to inquire at. Inquire not just about the campus, but even about business and legal matters. Cool, right? But more than that, is the highlight of the event which was this cocktail party at Treston’s, uhm let me just call it Auditorium okay, which included speeches, fab intermissions—and I mean really fab—this stunning fashion show to cap off the event, and a buffet dinner celebration at the end. (btw I definitiely got lots of pictures showing those but I plan to upload it in my photoblog since this is a style blog :)

Thank you so much to Treston International College for inviting Holy Redeemer School to be a part of the event, Fusion @ Treston. Everyone was so welcoming. We even had service from Cavite to Taguig(where Treston is) and vice versa. Really memorable day and plus, we’re really taken care of. Aww :)

it wouldn’t be as fun without them of course :) This was taken at the admin’s office of the prestigious international school. (note: we also have other friends with us but aren’t here that time sayang :| )

Anyway, finally uploaded a fashion show post. Yey! :D Which was your favorite outfit? Isn’t Gerald Katigbak so inspiring? :) What can you say about Treston. I’d love to hear from you, dear (s) :D anyway I will hopefully upload more fashion show posts in the near future :) Crossing my fingers for the upcoming PFW! omg I hope I’d get invites. If you know any info ‘bout it, I’d really appreciate if you tell me :)

God bless and stay stylish!

Lotsa love,
